Luis Nava Guibert, former Secretary General of the Presidency during the second government of Alan García (2006-2011), received transfers from Odebrecht for more than $4 million US dollars, according to documents from “Petty Box 2” of the Brazilian construction company.
“Of this amount, $1.3 million US dollars were deposited to the ‘offshore’ Ammarin Investment Inc., of the former vice president of Petroperú Miguel Atala Herrera”, El Comercio said.
As stated by Atala, the money he received from Odebrecht was used to purchase a plot of land in El Agustino, destined for the Lima subway line 1. “However, according to information from the servers of the Structured Operations Sector (Petty Box 2) of the company, these payments were for the Interoceánica Sur highway”, informed El Comercio.
In addition, IDL Reporteros published that the $1.3 million US dollars transferred to Atala from the Private Bank of Andorra in five installments through the “offshore” Klienfeld Services Limited were assigned to a person with the code name of “Chalán”.
It was later known that “Chalán” is Nava Guibert, who was also minister of Production during the last period of the Aprista second administration.
“The Odebrecht Structured Operations Sector made another 19 payments to Nava, according to IDL Reporteros report. Six of these transfers were charged to the Southern Interoceanic highway project”, El Comercio revealed.
