The Peruvian prosecution sent a document to the Judicial Power corresponding to a collaboration agreement signed with the Brazilian construction company Odebrecht.
According to information given by the Deputy Public Prosecutor of Lava Jato, Henry Amenábar, to El Peruano, the 739 volumes containing a total of 147,801 folios will be reviewed by Judge María de los Ángeles Álvarez, who will then indicate the date of a special private hearing with the signatories.
“The judge is going to verify that all the agreements are framed within the law and supported in the annexes that the Prosecutor’s Office has presented,” Amenábar added.
If the judge considers that “the agreement does not suffer from legal infractions, is not manifestly unreasonable, or its lack of effectiveness is not evident”, it will approve it and impose the corresponding obligations. The sentence may not exceed the terms of the agreement.
