The foundation Make-A-Wish Perú has organized an event in which several renowned Peruvian artists have modified more than 80 mirrors for the exposition “Arte por un Deseo: Deseos Reflejados”.
You can access the pre-sale online and help gather money that will be used to fulfill the dreams of children and teenagers that are going through life-threatening diseases.
Make-A-Wish is currently present in more than 100 countries and their labor is focused on helping achieve the dreams children with severe diseases have. They receive donations that have made possible stories like Andrea’s: A Peruvian girl who suffered from chronic renal failure and wished to meet her favorite volleyball player, Natalia Málaga.
Another story you can find on the Make-A-Wish website is Rafael’s. At 14 years he had always had the dream of becoming a pilot for one day. Also suffering from chronic renal failure, he was able to achieve his dream of traveling on a plane and living the “entire flying experience”, as you can read.
Deseos Reflejados will be open to the public from October 4 to 6 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Galería John Harriman (Av. Bellavista 531, Miraflores, Lima).
