The Bank of China was authorized to open a bank in Peru and be able to carry out “multiple operations”, according to a resolution issued last week by the Superintendence of Banking, Insurance and AFP (SBS).
“Bank of China Limited and Bank of China Group Investment Limited, acting as shareholders, seek to create a banking company to be called Bank of China Peru”, El Comercio informed.
This financial institution is the third largest in the world by a capital of better quality, according to information El Comercio cited from The Banker.
The bank’s directors would be Xiao Lijun, Bian Jidong, Luo Ying, Song Shouwen and Guillermo Palomino.
