According to a short video released this Wednesday on Youtube and Social Media accounts, América Televisión is the Peruvian TV channel selected to broadcast the 2019 Copa América in Peru.
Peruvian fans will be able to watch all the matches through the national media and enjoy the legendary competition.
On the América Televisión‘s spot, users can remember a bit of the tournament history, included the celebration of Chile in the last edition. Chile has been the winner two times in a row, defeating Argentina both times in teh finals.
The 2019 Copa América in Brazil will be played from June 14 to July 7, 2019, exactly one year after the Russia 2018 World Cup. In 2019’s edition, the Amazonian country will host 12 National Teams: the 10 Southamericans, and 2 special guests, Japan and Qatar.
Peru is working focused in the Cup. It will be the third time for Ricardo Gareca to coach the National Team in this competition. The argentinian head coach is counting with a bunch of players that played in Russia, and probably some new names. The biggest doubt is Paolo Guerrero‘s presence because of his sanction by FIFA.
Meanwhile, Gareca and the Peruvian players have scheduled different friendly matches to stay in tone for the continental meeting. The first one will be against Netherlands, the next September 6th (1:45 PM, Peru Time). Then, the Incas will play with Germany team, on September 9th (1:45 PM, Peru Time). The last date is October, 12th, vs. Chile, time to be determined.
In the 2015 Copa America, Peru got the third place, winning 2-0 to Paraguay in their last game. In 2016’s edition Peru fell in the quarterfinals to Colombia.
