Peruvian blueberry exports are doing very well in the international market, especially in the USA and Europe, according to Fresh Plaza.
However, these are not the only markets where blueberries from Peru are thriving since companies are also exploring other destinations to export their products.
“Giddings Fruit is a leading fruit export company with origin in Chile. They have grown to have production & operations in Peru, Mexico and the USA as well. They are specialized in exporting different kinds of fruits to multiple countries around the world with the main focus on cherries and berries. They are keen to continue researching and further develop the possibilities of export to Asia”, the aforementioned media said.
This company exported a trial batch of Peruvian blueberries to China and it was a success. This is why, Francisco Vizquerra, General Manager of Giddings Berries Peru, considers it to be a market with a lot of potential for the future.
By the end of August, the first shipment from the aforementioned company will arrive in China and it contains blueberries from Chiclayo, Huacho and Ica.
