Despite the infrastructure limits at the Jorge Chávez International Airport, in recent years Lima Airport Partners (LAP) has executed different projects and works in order to continue optimizing the attention and experience of users and passengers of the terminal. This is why it was once again recognized by international passengers as the Best Airport in South America in 2019 in the latest edition of the World Airport Awards.
Through a statement, LAP said that they have been working together with the community to ensure the best experience possible for the travelers. “As a result of this joint work, we can highlight the operation of the 12 new electronic doors made by Migrations, which have improved and facilitated the transit of passengers in the terminal,” they said, according to Panorama.
In addition, a new VIP Lounge that covers an area twice as large as the previous one that existed was inaugurated. Also, refurbishment works in the national arrivals section have began.
