Morgan Stanley Recommends Shares Of Brazil, Peru And Chile

Analysts at US bank Morgan Stanley project a 12% return in dollar terms for Latin American shares, according to a note sent to clients, said Gestión.

Morgan Stanley issued an overweight recommendation for the shares of Brazil, Peru and Chile, a neutral for Argentina, and underweight for Mexico and Colombia”, the aforementioned media said.

They also informed that analysts estimate that the MSCI Latin America index will reach 3,000 points by the end of 2019; Ibovespa at 100,000 points; and the Mexican stock market at 42,000 points.

Regional actions should remain under pressure in the short term, as the US Federal Reserve adjusts their monetary policy, but a “potential pause” after June could be a catalyst for global actions.

It is expected that real GDP growth in Latin America will improve from + 0.9% in 2018 to + 1.5% next year and + 2.3% in 2020.
