The Open Museums project will allow free entry on the first Sunday of each month for more than 50 museums and archaeological sites throughout Peru.
“The Museum of Archeology, Anthropology and History of Peru, known to be the largest, oldest and representative of Peru, will be the headquarters of the program”, explained La República.
This initiative takes place after the Congress of the Republic approved in July 2017 a law that provides that all Peruvians may enter, at no cost, the archaeological sites and museums of Peru administered by the Peruvian state on the first Sunday of each month.
The complete list of museums participating in this initiative can be found on the Online Museums website, while the artistic programming of all the museums nationally can be consulted in the social networks of the Ministry of Culture.
