The Peruvian Football Federation announced that the national soccer team will play a friendly match against their Costa Rican counterpart, on June 5 in Lima, just nine days before the Copa América starts in Brazil.
According to Onefootball, the stadium is yet to be confirmed and this game will be part of the preparations the technical director, Ricardo Gareca, has planned for the team. In Costa Rica’s case, they will also take advantage of the game to prepare for the Gold Cup.
In addition, there is speculation that the renowned striker Paolo Guerrero will participate in the match or not, after his long doping penalty.
“Another friendly match with Colombia is pending, which could take place on June 9 at the National Stadium” in Peru, the aforementioned media said.
