Peru’s grape exportations have experienced an important growth in 2018 taking the country in the third place as a world exporter of this fruit, said Andina News Agency, citing numbers from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Mincetur.
Last year, the country exported a total of $819 mullion US dollars, which equals 26% growth, according to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade, Sayuri Bayona. This allowed Peru to position itself above Italy and China.
Peru is now surpassed by the United States and Chile as the major grape exporters in the world, occupying first and second place, and exports of $1,074 million and $926 million US dollars, respectively.
