The Foundation for the Development of Cannabis in Europe (Eurofucann) reported that this industry presents obstacles for investments in Peru and Colombia for at least $300 million US dollars.
“The firms that are working with this product are having problems related to banks, not only for requesting credits but to save the money”, Gestión explained.
Eurofucann also said that an investigation to initiate exploitation works related to cannabis can require at least $30,000 US dollars and if the money comes from countries, such as Canada, the funds can take a while to arrive.
In Peru, the Law 30681 regulates the medicinal use of cannabis and it was approved last February and it is known, according to Gestión, that income from this industry could reach $1 million US dollars per hectare.
