The business climate in Peru climbed from 5.5 points in January to 35.5 points in April, which allows the country to lead the ranking of Latin American countries.

According to a report published by the Brazilian center for economic studies Fundación Getulio Vargas (FGV) last Thursday, the only countries whose environment improved for business between January and April were Colombia and Peru. Ecuador remained stable.

“Although the index fell in Chile (from 13.6 points in January to 4.6 points in April) and in Paraguay (from 23.6 to 9.8 points), these two countries, together with Peru and Colombia, are considered positive”, América TV said.

Those countries that are considered unfavorable for business are Bolivia (-14.9 points), Brazil (-21.1), Uruguay (-26.8), Ecuador (-41.9), Mexico (-43.6) and Argentina (-53.2).

Venezuela remained in the last place, with -100.0 points, for the eleventh consecutive quarter.
