In the recent times, there has been a record-breaking growth of tourist arrivals of Indians to Peru because of a growing popularity of the Inca land among Indian travelers.
BW People informed that Indians’ tastes are changing and Peru seems like an attractive new experience to be part of.
“According to the statistics received from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) of Peru, the tourist arrivals of Indians in the country has grown by 36.9% in the first two months of the year 2018, in comparison to the same period in 2017”, you can read in a post in this website.
For these reasons, the Commercial Office of Peru has started to promote this destination in the Indian market with B2B and B2C strategies in the hopes of improving the tourist numbers from Indian visitors, as the Commercial Counselor of Peru in India, Luis Cabello, explained.
BW People also informs that Peru’s government recognizes the potential of India as a key partner for trade and tourism. An example of this is the relaxing of visa requirements for Indians in March 2017.
“According to the new guidelines, an Indian passport holder with at least validity of visa from United States, United Kingdom, any of the Schengen countries, Canada or Australia is exempted from the requirement of a tourist visa. Moreover, Peru and India are currently in the process of negotiating a Trade Agreement, which should culminate in the coming year”, wrote BW People.
