In the most recent world ranking prepared by the World Economic Forum (WEF), Peru positioned itself 49 of 140 of the most competitive touristic destinations.
“With a score of 4.2 points”, said El Comercio, reminding their readers that the country has been improving its position and scores since 2015.
This study was ked by Spain Worldwide and it takes into account factors such as the contribution of the tourism sector to sustainable development and the country’s competitiveness.
“Peru’s strong point is that of its natural and cultural resources. In this sense, it is in third place within the countries with the largest number of species worldwide”, the article from El Comercio said.
Peru is only surpassed by Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica and Panama in Latin America in this ranking.
