The National Chamber of Tourism in Peru, CANATUR, informed that the Peru 2019 Tourism Fair will take place on October 16 at the María Angola Hotel Convention Center. The event is expected to receive more than 5,000 visitors.
“The president of CANATUR, Carlos Canales Anchorena announced the realization of the Peru 2019 Tourism Fair after commenting on the results of the Peru Travel Mart 2019 that took place from May 17 to 20 at the Jockey Club Convention Center”, a press release informed.
The last edition of Peru Travel Mart is considered one of the most successful editions related to tourism in Peru in the last 10 years since it generated businesses for a total of $25 million US dollars.
Canales also said that for Peru Travel Mart 2020, the event will be even larger because of a new format that will include the countries of the Pacific Alliance.
“The main objective of the Peru 2019 Tourism Fair will be to promote domestic tourism to the regions of the country”, said the statement. In addition, there will be exhibiting companies and institutions that will have the opportunity to contact travel agencies and tourism operators.
In 2018, there were 123 exhibitors and this year, more are expected to be present at the event. Also, negotiations for more than $1,8 million US dollars in negotiations will hopefully take place.
