The Peruvian National Team will arrive in Russia 2018 as the 11th team in the FIFA world ranking, a position it has maintained since November last year when it achieved its classification to the tournament.

Despite the team’s recent wins in friendly matches, and been unbeaten in its last 14 games, it has not climbed positions in the world ranking, explained RPP Noticias.

“Peru continues as the fourth best South American (team) in the world ranking, after Brazil (2nd), Argentina (5th) and Chile (9th), the only top 10 national team that has not classified Russia 2018”, this media informed.

As for the world leader, Germany, who is the current world champion, is at the head of the ranking, followed by Brazil and Belgium. Portugal and Argentina, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in front, complete the Top 5.
The FIFA World Cup starts next week, on Thursday 14, and all of the fanatics of this event around the globe will be paying close attention to one of the most important soccer championships.
