The official social networks of the Copa América 2019 created a “fan cup” called La Copa de los Hinchas as a preview of the continental tournament that will take place in Brazil later this year and Peru is currently leading its group, followed by the host country.
So far, the “Blanquirroja” has three points and ranks first for the highest percentage of votes in the group A.
This cup consists of virtual matches where fans enter to vote to express who their favorite team is. “In the debut of Peru against Venezuela, the team considered to have the most fans in the world won with 81% over 19%”, reported América TV.
In another match for Group A, Brazilian fans were superior to those in Bolivia by 71% over 29%.
For Group B, Argentina and Paraguay are the leaders; while for Group C the winners were Chile and Uruguay.
