The Museo Nacional de Arqueología, Antropología e Historia del Perú (National Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History of Peru), the oldest in the country, will be renovated soon, according to the minister of Culture, Luis Jaime Castillo Butters.
In order to protect tradition and national patrimony, this museum considered one of the most important in Peru will receive restorations.
The museum is located in the district of Puerto Libre and was founded by Julio César Tello on April 2, 1822. It is currently closed since May while the renovations are taking place.
