Peruvian Government Will Invest 3 Billion Soles In Schools This Year

President Martín Vizcarra announced that educational infrastructure works will be completed in 1,000 school buildings so that 136,000 students will be able to study in a safe and adequate environment.

“This year the education sector will show a significant advance for the benefit of the students of the country”, said Vizcarra, reiterating his commitment to work for the improvement of educational quality, according to El Peruano.

During the supervision of the school activities in the educational institution Elina Vinces Llanos, in the district of Túcume (Lambayeque), the President also made a call to the local and regional authorities, as well as to the diverse sectors of the civil society, to unite efforts in education.

“I am sure that education will show significant progress at the end of the year, with the support of all of us, we will improve education to lay the real foundations of progress and development that all Peruvians deserve,” said President Vizcarra.

In this regard, he reported that this year the regions of Piura, Tumbes, Cajamarca, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Cusco, Huancavelica, Apurímac and Ayacucho will have access to fiber optic backbone and that the Government will continue working to interconnect the entire national territory.

Vizcarra also announced that in 2019 the educational infrastructure works in 1,000 school buildings will be completed with an investment of 3 billion soles.
