President Vizcarra Greeted Peruvian Mothers

Next Sunday we celebrate Mother’s Day in Peru, and because of this holiday the President of the Republic, Martín Vizcarra, greeted today all mothers of the country and committed to them to work intensively to improve the economic situation and move the country forward.

“For you, for the families that you represent, we are going to work intensely, giving our all to achieve a better country, which is what we want for all the children”, said the Head of State, according to Andina News Agency.
During an interview in ATV, he took the opportunity to greet Rita Salazar, the mother of a 2-year-old girl who survived by herself for over a month in the Satipo Jungle after getting lost.

“In you, we are inspired to give ourselves to the country”, Vizcarra said to Salazar, commenting that three years ago his own mother passed away and on his dedication to his own children.

To the Peruvian mothers, he said thanks for the conviction and the illusion that a better country is possible.
Finally, he sent a warm greeting to his wife, Maribel Díaz, from whom – according to him – he has received support every day in the 26 years they have been married.

At Traveling and Living in Peru we wish you this Sunday a very happy Mother’s Day!
