During the launch of its new Low Cost 2.0 model, with which it aims to reduce regional market rates by 30% and 50%, the Sky Peru airline specified that it would enter the domestic market offering rates lower than S / 59.90 per tranche for its simplest service; standing below the price with which Viva Air Peru entered.
Currently, the company is finalizing, in Santiago, Chile, the process of certification of the aircraft that will operate in Peru in order to obtain their respective permits, El Comercio informed.
Later, in the summer of next year, Sky Peru will start working on the sales process, which the airline projects will happen in the second quarter of 2019.
“The main novelty of their entry into the country is that they will start operations with a modern fleet of two A320neo aircraft, which has a capacity to carry 186 passengers. Likewise, their LEAP engine will present the characteristic of having lower maintenance costs and registering 15% less fuel consumption. These two factors, among others, will allow the airline to offer reduced airfares”, said El Comercio.
