The Bi-national Cabinet Colombia-Perú has been held since 2014 to address common issues between the nations.
President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski (PPK) arrived yesterday to Cartagena, Colombia to participate today in the Cuarto Gabinete Binacional Colombia-Perú (Fourth Bi-national Cabinet Colombia-Peru).
PPK was received by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Patti Londoño; the ambassador of Colombia in Peru, Mónica Lanzetta; the ambassador of Peru in Colombia, Ignacio Higueras; and the mayor of Cartagena, Sergio Londoño Zurek, informed Telesur TV.
“The meeting, which will take place at the Spanish Cooperation Training Center, will be attended by Kuczynski and his Colombian counterpart, Juan Manuel Santos, as well as the Foreign Ministers María Angela Holguín and Cayetana Aljovín, and the respective ministerial cabinets”, indicated a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, said Telesur TV.
This statement indicated that this meeting seeks to strengthen the bilateral cooperation among both countries, and to address common challenges, like border-area issues.
In addition, the bi-national bureaus have five thematic areas in the areas of Governance and Social Affairs; Environmental and Mining Energy Issues; Trade, Economic Development and Tourism; Security and Defense; and Border and Migration Issues, wrote Telesur TV.
