Peru’s Olympic Committee (COP) announced last Thursday the 827 members of the delegation that will participate in the Pan American Games Lima 2019.
According to Telesur, this will be the largest sports representation accredited by the South American nation in any international competition, so far.
The announcement was made by Carlos Lazarte, secretary of the COP, who confirmed that of these participants, 592 will be national athletes (308 men and 284 women). In turn, 235 are officers (coaches, delegates, assistants and doctors).
In addition, COP confirmed that water sports will be those with the greatest representation, with 61 registered, divided into five disciplines: open water, diving, swimming, artistic swimming and water polo.
