The questioning comes after declarations given by Jorge Barata, former representative of Odebrecht in Peru.
The Lava Jato Commission of the Congress will question José Miguel Castro, former manager of the Municipality of Lima in the management of Susana Villarán.
According to the Congress agenda, José Miguel Castro must go to the investigative commission at 3:00 pm in the Francisco Bolognesi room of the Legislative Palace, wrote El Comercio today.
Castro will have to answer about the Yellow Line Project concession process, the signing of the concession contract for the Vías Nuevas de Lima Project and his participation in the campaign for the “No” to the revocation, regarding this investigation.
Jorge Barata, a former representative of the Brazilian construction company Odebrecht in Peru told prosecutors that he was summoned by José Miguel Castro to the Municipality of Lima, where he asked him to finance the campaign against the recall of Susana Villarán.
The commission has also convened María Julia Méndez Vega, linked to the No campaign, to report on the alleged participation of entrepreneurs linked to Brazilian firms in the campaign and the management of several accounts, according to information from El Comercio.
