Peru's economy grew by 5.5% in January, according to figures from Banco de Credito del Peru (Credibank), which also estimates that private investments may accelerate the demand, reports

In addition, sales by shopping malls registered a growth of 15% during the first two months of 2010, reported Malls Peru.
The districts reporting more sales in Lima are San Miguel, Surco and Cono Norte (Northern Lima), while, regarding Peru provinces, the majority of sales are registered in Chiclayo, Lambayeque region, and Trujillo, La Libertad region.
More than 50% of the sales are paid with credit cards, and the rest are paid in cash.
