Pluspetrol Perú Corporation, representing the companies that take part in the Camisea Consortium, announced today that royalties paid to the Peruvian state were
more than US $56 million in February 2010.
That amount is to be distributed according to current laws, and 50% (US $28 million) will go to Cusco Regional Government and Municipalities.
Pluspetrol also informed that during the first two months of 2010, Camisea royalties reached a total of US $119 million.
According to daily
Gestión, Camisea Consortium has paid Peru up to now a grand total of approximately US $ 1.8 billion in royalties, on the production of blocks 56 and 88.
