Judge to sentence Fujimori will not be in court

(LIP-ir) -- The Chilean judge that is to handle former President Alberto Fujimori's extradition, will not be in court for the next ten days. He will be on sick leave, starting today, due to a chronic case of bronchitis.

Judge, Orlando Alvarez will be out of court until his sick leave days have ended on July 28. Court secretary, Carlos Alvarez has assured the all concerned parties that the judge will continue to work on the case from his home.

71 year-old Alvarez has had a chronic case of bronchitis which has kept him from fulling his duties to the best of his abilities since early June.

As soon as the judge returns he will give his verdict on whether to authorize or deny the former president's extradition. The Peruvian government requested Fujimori's extradition in January of 2006.

Judge Alvarez can take into consideration or discard the recommendation of Chilean Supreme Court Prosecutor Mónica Maldonado. On June 7, Maldonado recommended Fujimori's extradition.

Maldonado recommended extradition based on human rights violations which occurred in the Barrios Altos (1991) and La Cantuta (1992) massacres during Fujimori's first presidential term.

According to the charges, the massacres were committed by the 'Colina' paramilitary group which was allegedly created by Fujimori and his former presidential advisor/spy chief Valdimiro Montesinos.

I had to laugh. Nothing has changed in 30 years. You can be sure the Judges bronchitis will clear up as soon as he gets that propina he has been waiting for!
Talk about Garcia Gang hypocrisy! What about the Morales-Bermudez Christmas Massacres I witnessed in CRAS Lurigancho in 1978 and 1979. In the latter hundreds of prisoners were murdered by the drunken sodomite Morales-Bermudez and his drug addicted Interior Minister Cisneros-Vizquerra. What about the 1986 prison massacre ordered by long-time CIA payrollee Alan Garcia where his thugs killed over 400 prisoners.
This persecution of Fujimori and Vladimir Lenin Montecinos is pure gringo puppeteering in league with a few corrupt Garcia Gang judges.

Fred, how can you laugh at the pompous a** trying to cram his screwed up view of utopia down our throats. He's worse than a door to door missionary. At least with them, you can slam the door in their face.

I laugh because taking him seriously is even more of a joke. What kind of fool that is educated in history thinks that if we repeat the mistakes of the past, it'll work out better this time?

Now that I mentioned it, it kind of reminds me of Alan Garcia getting reelected.... /insert Homer Simpson "doh" sound
