On June 15, the Puerto Rican singer Chayanne gave a concert in Peru after three years of absence. The event took place at the Jockey Club in Lima, where he was awarded the title of Tourism Ambassador by the National Chamber of Tourism (CANATUR).
“The title was given by the President of the entity, Carlos Canales, who was accompanied by the directors of CANATUR Pierre Berthier and Gaby Fiorini, as well as by the chief of staff of Edgar Vásquez, Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Patricia Hurtado, among other guests”, Travellers website informed.
After receiving his award, Chayanne congratulated Peru for hosting the 2019 Pan American Games.
“The importance of this recognition as Ambassador of Tourism of Peru lies in the strength in the massive promotion in social networks developed by the artist, reaching 1.5 million likes and positive comments about Peru as a tourist destination,” he added.
