The Regional Handcraft Fair developed in Huacho held on March 16 and 17 showed the works of artisans of the province of Huaura and inmates of the Carquí prison. It received thousands of visitors.
The fair was held at the Club Casino Huacho (Plaza de Armas) as part of the celebrations for the “Day of the Peruvian Artisan”, which is today, March 19.
“The mayor of the province of Huaura, Eddie Jara Salazar, co-organizer of the event, showed his satisfaction for the audience, while urging it to buy the beautiful samples of crafts that were offered at the stands”, The Tourist Promotion for the Lima region informed through a press release.
Jara invited the people personally to buy reed bags, handbags, wallets and baskets that are consistent with the environment and a healthy way of life, according to the press release.
“The people could enjoy a dance show and choreographies, with which they were invited to spend a pleasant time while admiring and acquiring a handmade product”, the information explained.
