The Ultimate Expat Pisco Challenge 2018 hosted by Traveling & Living in Peru together with Internations was a major success!
Held on the beautiful patio of La Cuadra de Salvador in Barranco, expats from all over the world and Peruvian nationals socialized and enjoyed each other’s company as they watched or performed in this year’s competition.
The 2018 contest marks the 10th anniversary of this unique event.
The Challenge not only celebrates Pisco sour but the blending and appreciation of many nations and cultures! Cheers to that!

The original Pisco sour is all about that fresh lime! The participants only had 3 minutes to create their perfect original Pisco sour.
Adding special touches to impress the judges, John here is adding a sugar rim, the only of its kind during the competition.
Jamie from Scotland reaping the last few seconds to shake, shake, shake! Everyone knows a foamy, frothy Pisco sour is the best Pisco sour.
Kay from Germany shaking under pressure. His expertise comes from being a frequent sampler of the delicious Pisco sour. This was Kay’s first time participating in the Ultimate Pisco Sour Challenge and he had a great time. Good job!
The samples ready for the Peruvian judges!
Last year’s winner and this year’s showman, Owen from Scotland made quite the entrance!
Another rep from the USA, this young man originally from Detroit, delighted the crowd with his calm demeanour and wonderful stage performance. An impressive first time participant and a true bartender!

A crowd favorite and the ultimate showman, Owen not only came with his own ingredients, but also his very own playlist and fan club!
The crowd was mesmerised by Owen’s performance as he pulled out power tools to get around the competition’s rules of no blenders!
Everyone crowded the bar to see the performance.
All our expats and Peruvian supporters enjoying the show!
