Expo Callao will gather the best the port city has to offer, aiming to promote the region to foreigners and locals alike. More than 100,000 people are expected to attend.
From October 30 through November 10, the Real Felipe Fortress will come alive with music, dance, theater and food. Lots of food. Produced by Peru Ferias, Expo Callao aims to put Callao on the international map by showcasing over 200 exhibitors and jam-packing each day with activities.
Callao continues to experience a cultural renaissance, offering new art-filled spaces and culinary destinations alongside the historic landmarks and views that distinguish this destination from its neighbor, Lima city. Watch our departure video to get a taste of what Callao offers:
Some of the activities include the making of the world’s largest ceviche dish and the Piratas en el Callao circus. There will also be museum exhibits for Peruvian soccer and salsa. Attendees will be able to enjoy salsa contests, sporting events, concerts and even fireworks.
On October 31 a criollo show celebrating the day of the criollo song (Día de la Canción Criolla) will take place.
