Peru is one of the markets in Latin America with the greatest potential for entrepreneurship, according to Google, who is willing to continue holding events in the country to bring Peruvian entrepreneurs to investors abroad.
El Peruano informed about Launchpad, an acceleration program that helps startups to continue growing with mentoring, partners and new technologies. They also cited Paco Solsona, leader of Google Developers for Latin America, who said that Peru’s biggest opportunity is its accelerated penetration of smartphones.
“53% of the Peruvian population already has a smartphone. ‘The density of the enterprise is also positive,’ he said. He highlighted the talent and growth of the community through schools and events nationwide”, you can read in El Peruano.
Currently, Google is looking to Peru for new workshops and coworking meetings with partners from the United States who are interested in investing in the country, said Solsona. Just this year, he said, twelve Peruvian startups were advised to evaluate the strategy of their product, as well as to establish a marketing plan and approach potential investors. “We are working on the calendar of events for the region,” he said.
The leader of Google Developers for Latin America said to El Peruano that Peru can be an opportunity in the market. “Google is in Peru to help entrepreneurs grow”, he said, adding that the country’s advantage is the competition developments can have with other technologies in the region under the same conditions.
