Healing with the Shipibo in the Amazon (Photo Essay)

Share

These are photos from one of many transformational journeys we’ve taken across the jungles near Pucallpa in a search healing, self-understanding, connection, and love.

I’m concerned with the divides between the cultures of visiting Westerners and local indigenous Shipibo people. With a deep shadow cast, this trip offered us hard lessons in accepting fate and understanding the deeper reasons behind circumstances in our lives. Hopefully, the benefits reaped by some will, in the end, will bring more balance, justice, and happiness for all so that I can still believe, what goes around, comes around.
