Ica, Piura And La Libertad Concentrate 82% Of Agro-exports

Peruvian traditional and non-traditional agroexports added in January of this year $602,592,000 US dollars, which is 15.5% more than in the same month of 2018.

The regions which contributed the most to this number were Ica, Piura and La Libertad, according to data from the Association of Exporters (ADEX), gathered by Andina News Agency.

“The policy development analyst at CIEN-ADEX, Nancy Arrelucé, highlighted that Ica was the region that led the sector’s shipments ($229,485,000 US dollars), with an increase of 7.8% compared to the same period last year”, the aforementioned news agency said.

The products that were dispatched the most from Ica were grape, asparagus and onion. Its offer reached 53 destinations, the most important being the United States, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, China, Spain, Mexico, Canada and South Korea.
