Each year, Peru adds 600,000 new users to the LinkedIn social network. To date, there are more than 4 million users nationwide.

According to information from El Peruano, every second two new Linkedin accounts are created.
Ramiro Luz, Head of LATAM – LinkedIn Talent Solutions, told El Peruano that the user profile is a reflection of the labor market of each country. Therefore, in Peru, financial and mining services stand out”, you can read in the aforementioned media.

The group that grows the most in the social network is made up of university and technical institute students. Since these are people that are starting their careers and need to find jobs, they are very active in using this software.

In his opinion, Luz believes that entrepreneurs can offer services from their profile, as well as find investors and partners to extend their network of contacts on an international scale by using LinkedIn.

“Many times we think of LinkedIn as an employment platform. That happens, but there is much more. Work life is changing. There are professionals with startups and LinkedIn allows them to generate opportunities”, he said to El Peruano.

In order to expand the use of this social network, LinkedIn will be launching soon in The United States an education platform called LinkedIn Learning that offers 3,000 courses in Spanish. “We want people to be more productive and more successful in their careers,” Luz said.
