Today at 1:00 pm local Peru time, you can enjoy the newest episode of Master Chef, with Lima as the chosen place for this culinary adventure.

This is the Finals Week for the TV Show, and four cooks will compete for the Master Chef title in its 14th season.

“Over the last decade, Lima, the capital, has led a food revolution that has popularized Peruvian cuisine around the world. Here the finalists face three challenges, guided by two of Peru’s most acclaimed chefs.”, BBC One informed.

The first challenge you will see contestants face today takes place in Lima´s major fish market Chorrillos. In teams of two, they will be asked to recreate four popular iconic Peruvian dishes to serve to a group of local fishermen.

The contestants will be mentored during this episode by Gaston Acurio, one of Peru’s most celebrated chefs, according to BBC One.

“Next, the amateurs have the honor of working with chef Virgilio Martinez. His world-renowned restaurant Central is known for its unique menu which offers diners a taste of the incredible biodiversity found at different Peruvian altitudes.”, BBC One explains.

The cooks will have only three hours to finish a dish from Virgilio’s 17-course tasting menu in this part of the challenge.

Finally, the finalists face the challenge of creating a special dinner at the Lima Country Club Hotel. Virgilio and three other leading industry figures from Peru, Roberto Grau, Pia Leon and Malena Martinez will judge the results.
