Peru is currently in the top 20 list of most attractive countries for mining investments.
The Minister of Economy and Finance, Claudia Cooper, will be in charge of promoting Peru as a destination for mining investment in the convention organized by the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), to be held in Toronto (Canada).
“The head of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) will be the main speaker of the CEO & Investor Luncheon that will be held within the PDAC mining convention next Tuesday, March 6”, wrote Gestión.
The mission of the Canadian entity is to promote a sustainable and globally responsible mining industry. It has been holding annual mining conventions that are considered the most important in the world since it brings together the main mining entrepreneurs, investors, and large-scale suppliers worldwide.
At the convention this year, Peru is expected to show the new promotion strategy for mining investments. The country is currently recognized as one of the most important mining destinations for investments worldwide, since it has 18% of the world’s silver reserves, 12% of zinc reserves, and 10% of copper reserves, among other minerals as well.
