Alexis Martín-Tamayo, better known as Mister Chip, arrived in the country on Tuesday to give a series of interviews. In one of them, he highlighted the work of the Peruvian national soccer team and the factor that could help it to excel in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
“In general, what has happened with Peru is that it has behaved like a block, even in the final section of the Qualifiers they could not even count on Paolo, and even so they have obtained very complicated results in very difficult places”, the expert in sports data mentioned.
According to El Comercio, Mister Chip said that if the Peruvian team continues to work as a block, it will do very well in a short tournament like a World Cup. “That is the main virtue of the Peruvian national team”, he said to the media.
The Spanish statistician also commented on which player of the Peruvian team he likes the most. “Christian Cueva was a player who did not know much, but who has surprised him a lot”, he expressed, as you can read in El Comercio.
“I really like Cueva, I think he has done very well in the eliminations, especially in the final stage. He is a player that I did not know much and has surprised me a lot,” said Mister Chip.
