Pan American Games: Peru secured a place in the finals of 3 rowing categories

The Peruvian Rowing team qualified three finals, in the modalities of short double pairs, double male and female lightweight, where they will seek to climb the podium of the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima.

The duo made up of Renzo León and Gianfranco Colmenares qualified for the final of Doubles short pairs Lightweight male, after passing the repechage phase with a time of 1:35.95 for the 500 meters, 3:14.35 for the 1000 meters and 4:52.99 for the 1500 meters.

Meanwhile, Álvaro Torres and Gerónimo Hamann went to the finals of double short pair rowing, finishing first in the repechage pass with 1:33.16 in the 500 meters, 3:09.50 in the 1000 meters and 4:46.42 in the 1500 meters.

In the women’s category, Camila Valle and Pamela Noya qualified for the finals, after being third in the repechage phase, with a time of 1:45.47 in the 500 meters, 3:36.62 in the thousand meters and 5:28.56 in the 1500 meters.

The final of the three events will be held this Friday, August 9 at the Albufera Medio Mundo, in Huacho, starting at 9:00 am. The three teams hope to enter the podium and keep the gold medal in rowing, according to information from Depor.
