Foreign Minister Néstor Popolizio met on Wednesday with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Kiyoto Tsuji, in the framework of the celebration of Friendship Day between both countries, on the 120th anniversary of Japanese immigration.
“Peru and Japan have an excellent bilateral relationship, which has been raised to the level of a strategic partnership during the visit of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to our country, in November 2016, the Peruvian Foreign Ministry said”, informed Andina News Agency
Popolizio said that the reciprocal visits have deepened several aspects of the bilateral relationship.
“A clear example is the upcoming visit to our country by her Imperial Highness, Princess Mako, who will help to promote all fronts of the Peru-Japan relationship,” he said, according to Andina.
