The 23 Peruvian companies of the alpaca, cotton and blending lines that formed the Perú Moda trade mission in New York generated commercial opportunities for $11.7 million US dollars.

According to Andina News Agency, these commercial opportunities will materialize within the next year, as was informed by Promperú (Commission for the Promotion of Peru of Export and Tourism).

“In this activity, which took place on July 23, the delegation had the opportunity to present its offer under the Peruvian brands Perú Textiles y Alpacas del Perú to more than 200 buyers from the United States and Canada”, you can read in the news agency’s article.

Some of the exhibited garments were cotton t-shirts, sweaters and clothes made from alpaca wool.

Perú Moda in New York is part of the strategy led by Promperú to position the country’s diverse manufactures and contribute to strengthening the presence of the Peruvian clothing supply in some markets in the United States.
