Peru is the Seventh Country with the Most Tickets Bought for the World Cup in Russia


In total, more than 1.7 million tickets have been sold online for the soccer event.

Three weeks after starting with the second phase of ticket sales for the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia, this organization published a list with the countries that have bought more tickets and Peruvians are positioned in seventh place with 9,766, so far.

According to RPP Noticias, “Peru is the fourth South American country with more tickets purchased for this championship, after Argentina with 15,006, Colombia with 14,755 and Brazil with 9,962. Surprisingly, the second country with the most tickets bought (16,462) despite not having qualified for this World Cup event is the United States, which is only behind the host Russia. The other country that surpasses Peru in this list is Mexico with 14,372.”

In total, 1.7 million tickets have been sold online in the first sales stage and so far, the second stage has sold 400 thousand.

The next and last stage to acquire tickets for the matches of this event will have its starting point on Wednesday, April 18, and will end on July 15, which is when the final game will take place.”, RPP Noticias wrote.
