Fiorella Molinelli, executive president of EsSalud, informed that hospitals won’t be allowed to sell from now on soft drinks and junk food as part of a policy that promotes healthy eating.

According to information from La República, a 60-day adjustment period will be given so that concessionaires of kiosks or cafeterias adapt to the national directive.

“We could not let there be dispensers with soft drinks and junk food, we respect the free market, but in our establishments, we have to promote health,” Molinelli said to the media.
