Spring is here and so is Casacor 2019, the largest interior design, architecture and landscaping fair in Peru. For forty-four days, eighty-two professionals will be showing their work across fifty-seven rooms in the stunning Escuela Climática de Varones del Puericultorio Pérez Aranibar.
From September 24th to November 3rd, the public will have the opportunity to admire the beauty of each and every one of the exhibits, learn about the new trends in these fields, including technological ones, and fully inspire themselves. Believe me, there is no shortage of creativity, art and good taste in this fair. You can also admire the architectural beauty of this recovered 1917 property with its 25,000 square meters that face the Pacific Ocean. Sustainability, technology, and affection are the three pillars that will sustain this year’s Casacor, and believe me, you will find plenty of that during your visit.
Since there is plenty to see and you will probably want to see it all, there will be a few interesting food and drink options like the steakhouse, La Cuadra de Salvador that has mounted a fabulous set-up right in the middle of the gardens, the well-known Bodega Dalmacia and Gianfranco Caffe, and a pisco-bar run by the acclaimed Pisco Huamaní.
There are also two conferences scheduled during the fair: one run by Adriano Leverone, a renowned Italian ceramist with several awards and recognitions on his shoulders, on Wednesday, 25 September at 6 pm, and another conference given by Alejandro Sarmiento, an Argentinean industrial designer whose works revolve around the concept of recycling and has been included in the 100-list of influential people according to the British Phaidon Press, on Friday, October 11th at 4 pm.
Like every year, the Ann Sullivan Center has established a shop ‘El Bazar’ with products in case you want to buy a nice gift and collaborate with the center’s goals. For the past forty years, the Ann Sullivan Center has been providing education to children with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral paralysis, and other cognitive problems.
Finally, conscious of the footprint mass events can leave on the planet, Casa Cor 2019 has foreseen the planting of one-thousand trees in the natural reserve of Tambopata in Madre de Dios. This will be the first carbon-neutral edition of Casa Cor in Latin America.
