Tomorrow, January 10, a meeting between the Minister of Energy and Mines (MEM) of Peru and the Minister of Hydrocarbons of Bolivia is scheduled, in order to review the export of Bolivian natural gas to Peru.
“This meeting was confirmed through a Supreme Decree published today, which authorizes travel to the head of the MEM, Francisco Ísmodes, to Bolivia between January 10 and 11 of this year”, La República informed.
This bilateral meeting will take place within the framework of the commitments assumed in the Presidential Meeting and IV Binational Cabinet Peru – Bolivia, in the Axis IV “Infrastructure for Integration and Development”, held last year.
Both ministers will analyze the exploration of hydrocarbons, prepare a roadmap for the implementation of the “Inter-institutional Cooperation Agreement in the hydrocarbons sector between the Ministry of Energy and Minas (MEM) and the Ministry of Hydrocarbons of the Plurinational State of Bolivia; and also establish a joint working group to review the guidelines for the export of CNG and LNG from Bolivia to Peru.
