Soon, the Italian brand Lambretta, will be launching an electric scooter in Peru, starting with 40 units this December.
Luis Miguel Pollarolo, general manager of Motolife – official representatives of Lambretta in Peru – told El Comercio that the initial objective was to place 30 units in the market before December, “but we believe that we will reach 40 units before the good acceptance”, he said.
For 2019, meanwhile, Motolife’s committed orders and after-sales investments total $300,000 US dollars and the sales target, as a minimum, is to place 100 units in 2019 and 500 bikes in 2021. This implies the importation of a scooter that would arrive in the second half of next year in the country.
“The executive points out that this model, whose price has not yet been set, will be launched mid-year at the Milan Fair and then it will arrive in the country”, El Comercio explained. “The distances we have in Lima and the traffic contribute to having an electric motorbike”, Pollarolo believes.
In addition to this version will also be added a larger motorcycle with a 400 cc engine in 2019 and visual and panel variations of the models already marketed: Lambretta V-Special in its two versions of motorization: The V125 with 125 cc and the V200.
“The conventional urban combustion scooter and electric scooter generate substantial money and time savings to the consumer,” Pollarolo said.
