According to RadioProgramas del Perú (RPP), President Alan García said Peru "will be part of developed world" if it keeps going through the path of investment, decentralization and creation of social programs to help poor sectors. # Martin says :

Mr. President - if only you are correct! I do not believe that Peru [or any similar country] can be "part of the developed world" when job creation is in the sector of low paying wages which is mostly the case in Peru. What is needed is a move from an agrarian economy to a dominantly industrial society. Where farming is mechanized and does not rely of poor paying manual labor. To do this, the public educational system must be greatly improved. Although more jobs within the personal income tax paying segment of society [formal, not informal types of employment] is definitely necessary, it is the quality of the jobs that really counts.

HAHAHA jb there is a major problems with Public Urination vomitting & even defacating in uk & usa . So look at your own countrys disgaceful & disgusting behaviour prior insulting my Country.
just look up the links in google: Public Urination uk or Public Urination usa. Myself Ive never seen a Taxi Driver urinating i Peru.
Ive witnessed public urination in both usa & uk and even once saw a Woman defecate in a park in the uk. So you westeners are not always that civilised yet you enjoy insulting other races. Clean up your own act before bringing your airs & graces to Peru or South America.

It's now official...Garcia is delusional.
Garcia needs to take a good hard look around. Right outside his residence is a third world hovel. This place has gotten worse, not better, in the 20 years I've been coming down here.
jb is right, the streets are used as public toilets by practically anyone. The vast majority of the people down here act like animals, and Garcia thinks Peru is catching up? Well excuse me while I LMAO.

Carlos,
LivinginPeru.com has tried to contact you via the email you have given to explain our policies on comments. However, it appears that the email you have given does not work. We only publish links if they are intrinsically related to the article, and will benefit our readers.
We do not publish any sort of political propaganda, insulting or rude comments, and we do not publish in Spanish, as LivinginPeru.com is a completely English website.

Carlos,
What makes you think I am from the USA or the UK? I am a Peruvian citizen, with a DNI and Peruvian passport. I live in Lima and I pay taxes in Peru. And yes, I see taxi drivers urinating on a daily basis -- sin una gota de verguenza. Don't know what part of Lima you live but you need to get out more.

Hahaha! Or he could come back as ... a Chileno! This site is in English because it is for those who are interested in/care for/love Peru. I'm sure there are plenty of other sites in Spanish where Carlos B. can vent. Criticism of problems that are obvious to everyone are not meant to be taken personally. So chill out, Carlitos!
