won 1-0 at Hoffenheim with a goal scored by Claudio Pizarro, and now is sixth in the Bundesliga, with 42 points accumulated.
Pizarro scored only 10 minutes left to the end of the game, thanks to an assistance from Daniel Jensen; thus, at this moment, Bremen still has chances of qualifying for an international tournament next season.
The Peruvian forward is now only five goals left to equalize the record set by Brazilian Giovane Elber.
"We had a very difficult game, but we were very disciplined today. We knew we only need an opportunity today, and Pizarro took advantage of it, he is the great player who makes the difference," said coach Thomas Schaaf.
This was Pizarro's 100th game with Bremen at Bundesliga.
Up to now, Bayern Munchen is the leader of the Bundesliga with 56 points, two ahead of Farfan's Schalke. Paolo Guerrero's Hamburg is fifth with 43 after it lose to Bayer Leverkusen 4-2.
