1st Photographic Contest “Desde La Cima” In Peru


From October 10 and until November 1 those interested can participate in the 1st photographic contest “Desde la Cima”, sponsored by Carnaval por las Montañas.

“As part of the activities prior “Carnaval por las Montañas 2018”, the Civil Association Oikos, the Barranco Municipality, the National Headquarters Qhapaq Ñan and the Casa Amaru, convoke the Photographic Contest “Desde la Cima heading to the Carnaval por las Montañas 2018”, Crespial (Organization of the United Nations for Education, Science and Culture) said on their Facebook page.

This event is a universal homage to the mountains takes place every December 11, and it seeks to encourage people to discover the importance of the Andes and to value the contributions of those who have promoted sustainable development in the face of climate change.

In this opportunity, the photo contest will select the best images that show in an artistic and expressive way the diversity of the Peruvian Andes.

Everyone who is a resident in Peru can participate in the contest with a maximum of three photographs per category, which will be a total of three: Ways of living in the mountain; Cultural expressions in the mountain, Natural views and sceneries.

The winners will be announced on December 15 and the first three places will receive: a surprise award; a scholarship, a set of publications and books on the Qhapaq Ñan, respectively.
